Day 109: I have a new boyfriend… well kind of…

I have a new boyfriend, and his name is Andy.

Dare I say, it was love at first sight?

I walked in the door at the Sweetheart’s house and there he was… standing there looking at me with his big beautiful brown eyes.

I was transfixed on him, as much as he was on me.  No matter how the night progressed, we kept gravitating toward each other, it was magical.

When I was eating he came over and sat down next to me, and I would go over to say ‘hi’ when I saw him sitting by himself across the room.

We even spent part of the night cuddled up together on the couch, and the floor, at one point he fell asleep with his head in my lap.  It was as if the rest of the world disappeared leaving only us two.

It’s just too bad Andy is the Sweetheart’s dog and she and her family aren’t willing to give up custody quite yet.

Sweetheart invited me and another friend over for dinner and to help her pick out colors and design her new home office.

Hanging out with a child is a great way to feel like a kid again.  Both of us found ourselves laughing hysterically as we strapped a barbie doll to the dogs back and watched him walk around the house with it.  The funniest part is the children couldn’t have cared less!

At one point we were playing with a pirate ship, and Sweetheart told her daughter I had a pirate costume, at which point she jumped up from the floor and said ‘gasp… for me?!’  We all cracked up laughing, it was hysterical to see the sheer joy, shock and surprise on her face.

It just doesn’t get much better than children and puppy therapy.  Both are good for the soul.
