I woke up a little before 7 a.m. to a text from the Cheerleader… gggrrrr
I tried to ignore it but before long the phone was going off left and right, I had forgotten to turn the ringer off.
I rolled over and tried to go back to sleep and was successful for a little while at least.
A few hours later… another text from the Cheerleader ‘hello’.
Uh… hello! It was 6:57 a.m. when you sent me the first text, now that it’s a respectable hour I will respond to you.
She wanted to see if I wanted to go to the culinary festival with her. I agreed and started organizing a plan with Mr. Wonderful’s mom. I had asked if she wanted to go with me, so now we were going as a small but mighty group.
I decided not to eat a lot for breakfast because I didn’t want to load up before going to a culinary festival where I planned on tasting some of everything.
But there was a problem… there wasn’t a lot of food… but there was wine. At first glance it seemed like the perfect plan, until I started to get the wine samples and forgot to eat.
By the time we walked out of the building to enjoy the beautiful day and the outdoor portion of the festival the wine was kicking in and I was in trouble.
Many small samples of wine = several big glasses of wine in a short amount of time.
Ahhh those life lessons really sneak up on you sometimes.
